This tag is brought to my by the awesome Mandy @Book Princess Reviews! I really enjoyed her post for this tag and decided to do one of my own! I also learned a new way to sort my “read” shelf on Goodreads! Win-Win.
So without further ado! Here are the “Rules:”
- Randomly choose three books from your “Read” shelf on Goodreads (tip: use the ‘sort’ option at the bottom of the list and change to ‘random’ option).
- For each group, decide which book to reread, which one to rewrite, and which one to burn. Theoretically, of course. We’re not monsters here.
- Do this three separate times to get three groups of three. (Just refresh the page.)
Burn: Ghouls Rush In: Peyton Clarke #1 by H.P. Mallory. I read books one and two and it just felt like the same old paranormal romance stuff.
Rewrite: Malice In Wonderland by H.P. Mallory. If we’re assuming I have the talent to write, I would rewrite a few things in the book. Like the predictable plot twists that I saw a mile away with my human eyes. I didn’t need super Loki traits to see them coming.
Reread: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. Is this even a hard choice? Of course I pick HP to reread! I do it every few years anyways! Might as well stick with tradition!
*this one was soooo easy*
Burn: The Mistress’s Daughter: A Memoir by A.M. Holmes. First let me say, I hate reading memoirs. I hate reading non-fiction most the time. I tried to branch out and it back fired. I would burn this book. Lucky for it, I donated it to my local library so it didn’t suffer that fate.
Rewrite: Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Again..assuming I have the talent, which I don’t, I would rewrite this book because to ME it lacked that something. I liked the book, just not enough. I’d give it more action…? Maybe…I’m not sure. Maybe I should reread…..
Reread: Blush by Cherry Adair. What a cheeky pen name, eh? The XXX *coughs* scenes were HOT! HOT! HOT! and I am down to read this book again! I’m fanning myself lightly just thinking about a reread.
Burn: The Love That Split The World by Emily Henry. This book was about time traveling, multi layered worlds. Not at all enjoyable for me to read and this is right up my ally. It was hard to read and confusing and I did not enjoy this book in the slightest.
Rewrite: The Elite by Kiera Cass. I would take out all the mean, hurtful things America did to Aspen. It tore my heart out. I like Aspen more than Max!
Reread: Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas. Um, duh. I am probably going to end up rereading this entire series soon……all hail Queen Maas. AKA the destroyer of lives! But we still worship you!
This was fun! Thank you for reading!
Live long and prosper!
