She wants to find love, but it eludes her.
She wants to be fulfilled, but her job is a dead end.
She wants to belong, but her life is so isolated.
You probably don’t know anyone like the Moore sisters.
They have an unbreakable circle of friends.
They live the most glamorous life.
They always get what they desire.
Shay thinks she wants their life.
But what they really want is hers.
I have been sitting on this review for a few weeks because I honestly don’t know if I want to write one. But if you’re reading this then that means I wrote and published my thoughts.
I enjoyed THE ANONYMOUS GIRL by these two authors and I had a good feeling going into YOU ARE NOT ALONE. And I am sad to report that I didn’t like this book as much. Almost not at all. This book seems so far fetched to me and I couldn’t get into the story. And I think that hindered it for me. If I can’t believe the story, if I can’t connect with the characters then what am I even reading it for? Maybe it is the set up of the book, or maybe it is the shallow characters, or maybe the delivery of the plot?? The synopsis was misleading, which maybe people like that? I DON”T KNOW!
This is all I’m going to say..I can feel a rant coming along and no one (except maybe me?) likes to read that in a book review post. But, whatever it is this book fell flat for me. I looked up other reviews on GoodReads to see if I am in the minority with this and the reviews were surprisingly a mixed bag. There is a healthy amount of yes’s and no’s. So, you decided for yourself and dive into this book and let me know what you think after you have finished reading. If you have finished it, what did you think? I am super curious of others thoughts on this one!
